What's a CSA?

CSA, or community supported agriculture, is a mutually beneficial cropsharing model where customers buy shares of a farm's harvest in advance and receive a portion of the yield.

"Common to all CSA models is a core philosophy: local farms need community support to thrive"

˜ The National Center for Appropriate Technology

By purchasing directly from a local farm, customers directly support the farmer and in return get the freshest produce possible. CSA packages vary from farm to farm but can consist of vegetables, herbs, flowers, eggs, dairy, and even meat and other sustainably produced goods. These packages are typically picked up or delivered weekly or biweekly as crops mature throughout the harvest season. Different crops are offered each season.

You can bet that the quality of whatever you receive in a CSA will meet or exceed expectations. Each partner farm is personally vetted by Seasons Plenty to ensure that the produce you consume is completely organic and pesticide-free, resulting in the highest quality food you can buy. In addition, we strictly adhere to FDA guidelines. Produce is appropriately refrigerated, chilled, or otherwise properly stored immediately after arriving at a storage facility. Excessive dirt or grime on produce will also be carefully cleaned. The team at Seasons Plenty is committed to excellence and transparency.
